A paradise of beady ideas
March 2017

The 32nd edition of Perlen Poesie offers a wealth of suggestions with 16 jewelry designs by artists from 9 countries! Pure seed bead fancy alternates with beaded leather, bead-soutache, bead-silver wire and bead-micro-macrame combinations. The fine jewelry set "Raindrop" has been specially designed for readers by the well-known American artist Leslee Frumin. We also think of the new generation with a pretty necklace! In addition: announcement of the big jewelry competition IBA 2017 – for beginners to advanced – with the conditions of participation.

Fine Bead Art

Leslie Frumin: She began as a metal worker in the 80s and, twenty years ago, segued into a beaded jewelry designer. Her style is, without exception, simple elegance adding that finishing touch to grace any occasion. With “Raindrop” she has designed a particularly beautiful ensemble of a necklace, ring and earrings for the readers of Perlen Poesie.

Herringbone Part 3

Extras: In part 3 of the Herringbone course we show you how to bead attractive small single elements with some of the newly-developed bead shapes, which can be used in various ways: as bead caps, earrings or put together in groups to serve as entire pieces of jewelry.

Louis Féraud

... from the classically beautiful to those rich in contrasts that really rock, combine seed bead-stitch techniques with large beads, feature micro-macramé, jewelry wire and the use of leather …
